To synchronize the interdisciplinary research activities that it provides a progressive environment to the future generation.
To revamp NSS activities with the motto YOU AND ME by replacing NOT ME BUT YOU as NSS serves society which includes both YOU AND ME.
To instill the right to ask information in students and work for their betterment right from inculcating ethics to survive as best fit even in testing situations
To popularize practical implementation of E-Governance.
Organized an International Conference on Sustainable Technologies for Environmental Protection in Collaboration with University of Toledo, Ohio conducted during January 6-9, 2006. University of Montana, Montana was one of the sponsors.
Instrumental in bringing out an MoU with The College of Engineering, University of Toledo, USA for collaborative research initiatives and for providing a common platform for sharing international expertise.
1. Motivated students to learn beyond the syllabus by involving them in learning about new equipment and they had done a term project in the Laboratory.
2. Motivated students to prepare individual term paper in their subject of study.
3.The class room teaching is proportioned with group discussions, web web based education and seminars based on the significance of the teaching learning process.

2.Coordinator of the Short term training programme on Strategic Options for Managing Urban Environment sponsored by AICTE_ISTE during November 10-25, 2003 for the Faculty of academic Institutions.
1.Delivered special lectures to the NSS volunteers of various institutions.
2.Resource person for training programmes on Water treatment methods conducted by TWAD Board during 2000, 2001 for the Engineers of TWAD Board.
3.Resource Person for training programmes on Low cost sanitation conducted by TamilNadu Institute of Urban Studies during 1999 –2000 for NGO’s, Engineers of various Government organizations, Members of Self help group.
1.Involved in the preparation of project proposals to various funding agencies applied from Civil Engineering department in the field of Environmental Engineering in CIT.
2.Instrumental for introduction of PG course in Environmental Engineering and Management in CIT.
3.In charge of the Public Health Engineering Laboratory in CIT from 1997- Till date.
4.Worked as programme officer for the NSS Scheme in CIT from 2003-2007.
5.Working off campus for the past three years to promote web education and e-governance and proposals have been submitted to various government agencies and international organisations to implement the same.
